Ok, WTF? Whats with that light at the tip? If your going to try and make a rail gun like this, try and do it with the thought that your going to be using it heavily. Whats the point of that light at the tip anyway?

Railguns are different from coilguns – this one is a coilgun. They both use electromagnetism but in different ways. Coilguns are easy to build at home, but can’t approach railgun exit velocities.

actualy railguns are completly possible, and are in testing currently. they shoot about mach7, and up to 200 miles. the military is improving on the caliber limit.
